Dorian Barney walked away with an offer from Alabama football after visiting the Crimson Tide Wednesday.
Barney is a 2026 defensive back recruit out of Peachtree Ridge High School in Georgia. He holds 32 offers with his latest offers coming from Alabama and Oregon.
The sophomore feels his offer from Alabama validates his potential.
“It feels great because Alabama is one of the biggest and best schools in the world, and with me getting that offer, gives me a great feeling because I know I can play with the best and compete at the highest level,” Barney said.
Barney’s Wednesday visit allowed him to tour some of the Tide’s player facilities and meet members of Alabama’s staff.
“It was great, one of the best programs I’ve been to so far,” Barney told Touchdown Alabama. “Meeting with the staff was good. I loved the things I was hearing.”
The four-star is listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds. He closes on the football really well and attacks it in coverage. The Georgia prospect also comes downhill with impressive speed and displays great reaction skills when he diagnoses where a play is going.
