Duvay Williams walked away with an offer from Alabama football after visiting the Crimson Tide last week.
Williams is a 2027 prospect out of Junipero Serra High School in California. He is only a freshman and holds offers from Georgia, USC, Tennessee and others.
The California product met Alabama’s new defensive coaching staff while in Tuscaloosa and got to chop it up with Alabama’s defensive backs coach and Co-DC Maurice Linguist.
“I got to talk to the whole defensive coaching staff,” Williams told Touchdown Alabama. “I talked to coach Mo, and he watched my film and liked what he saw. We were talking about serious things, just not about football. Then he told me I have a scholarship to the University of Alabama.”
Williams went on to say he felt humble after earning an offer from the Tide.
“It feels amazing,” Williams said. “You know not everyone can go to Alabama, but I feel humbled that they see something in me that I can play there one day.”
The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder, made plays in both sides of the football as a freshman. His long frame, athleticism, ball skills and playmaking ability point to him developing into a serious defensive back prospect in the future.
