Nick Saban decided to retire in January after 17 seasons of coaching the Crimson Tide. He did not secure a national title in his final three years; however, he was a seven-time national champion — including six times for the Tide. Kalen DeBoer, 49, takes over as Alabama’s head coach. The former Washington head coach has been a winner at each school he has been at.
We have not seen a snap taken in football this season, but a media outlet has two players for the Tide on its 2024 All-Returning Team.
Pro Football Focus, a website geared to the analytics of college and professional football, has Parker Brailsford (transfer from Washington) and Tyler Booker for Alabama named to the All-Returning Team. Brailsford helped the Huskies offensive line win the Joe Moore Award in 2023. He also guided Washington to a Pac-12 Championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Booker, a former five-star in the 2022 signing class, has become a leader on the Tide’s front line.
