One of the nation’s top running back prospects is coming off the board ‘soon’ as Alvin Henderson reveals he is announcing a commitment in the near future.

Henderson is a four-star running back out of Elba High School in Alabama. He holds more than 70 D1 offers with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Miami and others.
Alabama’s new coaching staff has shown a lot of interest in Henderson. Kalen DeBoer, Robert Gillespie and JaMarcus Shephard have all visited him. Gillespie has made two trips since DeBoer was hired.
The Elba product had nothing but good things to say about Alabama after DeBoer visited him along with several other Tide coaches.
“The visit was by far top-notch,” Henderson told Touchdown Alabama. “I sat with coach DeBoer, Coach shep and Coach G. They were congratulating me on all the awards and accomplishments I have received, letting me know how amazing it was for them to be able to say they have the guy who they want in their backyard, and they don’t have to go to another state to get another running back.”
Henderson is considered one of the nation’s top back prospects because of the balance and elusiveness he runs with. He finished the 2023 season with 3,828 rushing yards.
