He has Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but is Tua Tagovailoa getting another veteran wide receiver?

Ari Meirov, who covers the National Football League for the 33rd Team, reports the Miami Dolphins have made a contract offer to Odell Beckham Jr. Meirov got the information from Mike McDaniel, Dolphins’ head coach, as conversations have started.

Tagovailoa had his best season in the NFL as a starting quarterback last year.

He proved he could stay healthy, playing a career-high 17 games and leading the Dolphins to the playoffs. Tagovailoa finished first in the league for passing yards (4,624) and ranked in the top 10 among quarterbacks in several categories. He finished tied for fifth in touchdown passes (29), fifth for completion percentage (69.3), tenth for quarterback rating (60.8), and fifth for passer rating (101.7).

The former Alabama quarterback made his first Pro Bowl in 2023. Things are starting to look up for Tagovailoa where a long-term deal is concerned, but adding Beckham could push him to even bigger production. He’s had some injuries, but Beckham is a three-time Pro Bowl selection, two-time second-team All-Pro, and a former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

He captured a Super Bowl ring with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021.

The 31-year-old and former first-round pick of the 2014 NFL Draft has had five 1,000-yard seasons in 10 years. He’s played with the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Rams, and Baltimore Ravens. Beckham would be a very nice addition for Tagovailoa and the Dolphins if they can get him.
