Terrion Arnold and Jalen Milroe were the leaders of the LANK movement, which caught the attention of many during the 2023 college football season.
Arnold discussed the origin story of LANK when he was a guest on “Good Morning Football.” The NFL Draft hopeful revealed Nick Saban was vital in the creation of the LANK acronym when he was asked about the saying.
“It came from Jalen Milroe and myself while we were in the locker room,” Arnold said. “Jameson Williams and John Metchie they had just come up with the crane movement. So, we were like what is a movement we can start that will not only impact the football team but impact Alabama. Then, we’re like Nick Saban always says something about Naysayers. Anytime he addresses the team, the naysayers don’t want us to do this, the naysayers don’t want us to do that. So, we were like what can we take from that? I kid you not, it was almost like in a movie. J Mil (Jalen Milroe) said sometimes you got to let them know. I’m like LANK.”
Arnold went on to discuss how the phrase evolved from “Let A Naysayer Know” to “Let All Naysayers Know.”
