Alabama offer ‘real special’ to Florida 2025 WR Tyler Williams

Tyler Williams earned an offer from Alabama football during a visit to Tuscaloosa on Friday.

Williams is listed as a three-star recruit by most recruiting sites at the moment, but he holds more than 30 college football offers with previous offers from Georgia, Miami, Oregon and several others. The 2025 recruit is a product of Sumner High School in Riverview, Florida. He feels his offer from Alabama is special to not only him.

“It means a lot,” Williams told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s real special to me growing up an Alabama fan, always being in Birmingham. It’s very special to me and my family.”

Alabama’s wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard informed Williams of his offer from the Crimson Tide after he watched the Tide practice. The Florida product could see himself working and learning under Shephard.

“He is very smart and is a cool, fun person to be around, can definitely see myself playing for him,” Williams said

At 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, Williams finished the 2023 football season with 15 receiving touchdowns and 1,000 all-purpose yards. He proved to be a dynamic wide receiver and returner on special teams. The new Alabama target feels he will get more dangerous as he gets bigger and stronger.

“I think I’m very versatile,” said Williams. “I can run after the catch, catch and run routes. I’m also very good in the return game.”

The junior is interested in returning to Alabama for a game and an official visit in the future.
