The Houston Roughnecks are 0-2 in the United Football League this season.
It suffered an 18-23 loss to the DC Defenders on Sunday, but a former University of Alabama linebacker did everything he could to position his team for a victory. Reuben Foster, a former Butkus Award winner, has been excellent for Houston in his first two matchups against Memphis and DC. He was all over the field against the Defenders, making several tackles and a pass breakup.

Foster made a tackle for loss and popped the Defenders’ quarterback, Jordan Ta’amu, on a run.

The three-time Southeastern Conference Champion (2014-16) and College Football Playoff National Champion is showing he can still perform at an elite level on defense. Foster made first-team All-SEC and Unanimous All-American in 2016 for the Tide.
Hopefully, he can push the Roughnecks into the win column.
