Smith is a product of Parkview Magnetic in Arkansas, and he is a rising linebacker prospect. He holds seven college football offers with offers from Florida State, Missouri, Notre Dame and others. The Arkansas product feels his Alabama offer is motivation for him to continue to work harder.
“This my biggest offer, but I still know I got room for improvement and this offer is not going to make me big-headed or cocky,” Smith told Touchdown Alabama. “The offer from Alabama is going to make me work even harder. I feel like I am expected to do way more at a higher level.”
The sophomore respects the Tide’s program and its past success. He is also confident in the direction the programs is headed under Kalen DeBoer.
“They are still at the standard they were at last year even with the new coaching staff,” Smith said.
At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Smith gets after ball carriers as an inside linebacker. He flies all over the field and can cover ground quickly.
“I am a sideline-to-sideline linebacker and my motor is high,” said Smith
