A former University of Alabama football player has returned to the NCAA transfer portal.
Demouy Kennedy, an inside linebacker, played in 10 games last year for the Colorado Buffalos.
He recorded 13 tackles under Coach Deion “Prime” Sanders, including two stops for loss.
Kennedy, a native of Theodore, Ala., started his college career at Alabama as a four-star in the 2020 signing class. He worked on special teams as a freshman, helping the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff National Championship.
Kennedy added emergency running back to his responsibility list in 2021, assisting Alabama to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a berth in the CFP National Championship Game.

An injury versus Arkansas cut his 2022 season short, but Kennedy is a talented player.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder announced on social media he is back in the portal.
