Nick Saban has his first former Alabama player off the board in the first round of this NFL Draft.

JC Latham, an offensive tackle, is headed to the Tennessee Titans. He came to Alabama as a five-star in the 2021 class from Wisconsin. Latham excelled at right tackle in his career, but wants to prove he can play left as well.

The 6-foot-6, 360-pounder made first-team All-SEC for his efforts in 2023, helping the Crimson Tide win a Southeastern Conference Championship and advance to the College Football Playoff. Latham assisted Brian Robinson to a 1,300+ yard rushing season in 2021 (1,343) with 14 touchdowns. Jahmyr Gibbs, Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams (now at Florida State), and Jalen Milroe (quarterback) all had success running behind Latham. He goes to a team where he can protect Will Levis and open lanes for Tennessee’s running backs.

Latham was a two-time SEC Champion (2021, 2023) and two-time CFP attendee. He now gets an opportunity to dominate in Tennessee for the Titans.
