McKinstry was given the nickname “Kool-Aid” by his grandmother. He decided to have his name listed as Kool-Aid McKinstry instead of Ga’Quincy on the Crimson Tide’s football roster when he enrolled at the University of Alabama. The Birmingham, Alabama native was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft as the 41st overall pick on Friday.
This will not be the first time the former five-star has partnered with Kool-Aid. The duo collaborated on an NIL deal during McKinstry’s time in Tuscaloosa.
