Alabama QB Jalen Milroe has fifth-highest odds to be No. 1 pick for 2025 NFL Draft

Gary Cosby Jr. - USA Today Sports

Jalen Milroe has every aspiration he wants in the palm of his hand for next season.

The returning quarterback for Alabama football has an opportunity to be a Heisman Trophy winner, first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection, All-American, and other individual accolades. He looks to carry the University of Alabama to a College Football Playoff National Championship, but Milroe knows he’s more than capable for the next level. The native Texan could legitimately position himself to be the No. 1 pick for next year’s NFL Draft. He witnessed Bryce Young do it for Alabama in the 2023 venue as Carolina took the 2021 Heisman winner at No. 1 overall.

According to BetOnline.Ag, Milroe is tied for the fifth-highest odds — 12 to 1 — to win the Heisman. Sheduer Sanders (Colorado, 5/2), Carson Beck (Georgia, 4/1), and Quinn Ewers (Texas, 5/1) are the lone quarterbacks ahead of Milroe with better odds.

He is tied with Drew Allar (quarterback, Penn State) and Travis Hunter (athlete, Colorado).

Milroe has an offensive coaching staff committed to helping him excel. He has the most to gain in the coming fall.
