Sharontae Bailey is a name many college football coaches and recruiting enthusiasts are going to want to keep a close eye on over the next few years.
Bailey is a freshman at Anniston High School in Anniston, Alabama. He currently only holds an offer from Alabama State, but that is subject to change soon with coaches on the road evaluating talent this spring.
The Anniston product is set to impress.
It does not take long to see why Bailey is expected to be a highly-recruited prospect in the future when you watch his film despite him only having one offer at the moment. At around 6-foot-3 and approximately 285 pounds, the freshman already displays traits of a highly-rated offensive lineman recruit. He has great footwork and agility as there are several moments on his film where he has his hands on a defender as soon as they are out of their stance. He drives through his blocks and keeps his feet moving down the field throughout the play when he is leading the way for ball carriers.
The 2027 prospect also knows how to make himself wide in pass protection as a left tackle for the Bulldogs. With a lot of upside to his game, Bailley is still a young football player with a lot of room to grow, but his floor is really high at the moment with his ceiling a bit of a mystery.
