Darrell “Duke” Johnson received a visit from two of his future college coaches on Thursday when Alabama’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack and the Tide’s Co-DC and defensive backs coach Colin Hitschler made their way through Georgia.
Johnson is a product of Dodge County High School in Georgia, and he is a 2025 four-star prospect. He is one of Alabama football’s 10 2025 commits, and the Georgia prospect is a commit the Tide wants to make sure they keep on board because of his athleticism as a defender.
At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Johnson is one of the most explosive and electric prospects in the country. He has the ability to play at all three levels on the defensive side of the football and gets after the football like a heat-seeking missile. The Georgia product is the type of defensive player coaches dream about to defend the fast and athletic offensive players in today’s game.
