The University of Alabama had a football season in 2023 where it proved a lot of people wrong in what would be the final coaching year for Nick Saban.
Alabama had growing pains at quarterback, but Jalen Milroe pulled it together and led the team to a Southeastern Conference Championship and College Football Playoff appearance. The Crimson Tide had a team last season that Saban truly enjoyed coaching, though, it took a lot out of him.
JC Latham, an offensive tackle, was the first Tide player selected in this year’s National Football League Draft. He was taken at No. 7 overall by the Tennessee Titans. The former five-star enjoyed his run so much with Alabama in 2023 that he got something to remember it. Latham unveiled his massive “LANK” tattoo before heading to rookie minicamp for the Titans. He was a significant reason behind Milroe’s success and the success of the team as a whole.
Latham now is in a position to assist Will Levis to be great as the Titans quarterback.
