Nick Saban earned his first “Mr. Irrelevant” player for Alabama football in the NFL Draft.
Jaylen Key, a former Crimson Tide safety, was the final player selected in the draft by the New York Jets. He is relevant to the Tide as Key assisted Alabama to a Southeastern Conference Championship last season.
He is also relevant to the Jets as he signed his rookie contract with the AFC East team. Key brings experience, length, athleticism, and range as a defensive back. He looks forward to helping the Jets have marquee success.
