The National Football League had its Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles (Calif.) this weekend for the NFL Players Association.

Alabama football had two alums featured in the rookie premiere as Dallas Turner and Jermaine Burton took a photo with the other rookies. Turner, a former Crimson Tide linebacker, was selected at No. 17 overall by the Minnesota Vikings.

Turner led Alabama’s defense in 2023 for sacks (10), tackles for loss (14.5), and quarterback hurries (13). He paced the Tide’s defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff appearance. Burton, a former Tide wide receiver, was taken in the third round of the draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He led Alabama in receiving yards (798) and had eight touchdowns on 39 catches. Burton now has Joe Burrow as his quarterback for the Bengals, and he’s ready to be explosive.

Alabama had 10 players selected in the recent draft, including three first-round picks.

It was good to see Turner and Burton at the Rookie Premiere. Tide fans want both to be highly impactful in the pros.
