Dorian Barney announced a commitment to Alabama Sunday via social media.
Barney attends Peachtree Ridge High School in Georgia. He is a 2026 defensive back recruit, who is considered a four-star on multiple recruiting sites. His commitment gives the Crimson Tide two 2026 commits.
The Georgia product earned an Alabama offer in March during a visit and returned for another visit later in the month.
“It felt like home,” Barney told Touchdown Alabama after his latest visit to Tuscaloosa. “I am really happy I came back.”
The four-star is listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds. He closes on the football really well and attacks it in coverage. The Georgia prospect also comes downhill with impressive speed and displays great reaction skills when he diagnoses where a play is going.
