Alabama set to host top recruits for official visits this weekend

Alabama football is set to host its first group of recruits for summer official visits this weekend.

Here is a look at who is expected in Tuscaloosa and what they bring to the table:

Ty Haywood – 5-Star OL

Haywood is a massive offensive tackle for Ryan High School (TX) at 6-foot-6 and 295 pounds. His strength and size allow him to physically dominate most high school defensive linemen. He seems to have a great understanding of a wide variety of blocking assignments. He has shown the ability to be effective in pass protection, zone blocking and combo blocking. He also appears comfortable blocking in space with his ability to get to the second level.

Derick Smith – 4-Star WR – (Alabama Commit)

The in-state recruit is one of the most versatile prospects in the country. He has the potential to play on either side of the football at the next level. The Crimson Tide have recruited him at wide receiver in the past, but the door will remain open for him to play on defense as well.

Keelon Russell 4-Star QB

At 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Russell is an impressive quarterback, who can launch the ball deep with impressive accuracy and ball placement, and he can go to work when he is called upon to tuck the ball and run. He also keeps his head up and his eyes down the field when he is escaping pressure to make some exciting throws on the run.

Marcus Harris – 4-Star WR

The Mater Dei product is an explosive wide receiver at 6-foot and 180 pounds. He is an impressive route runner, who can create separation off the line of scrimmage, and he has the ability to go up and get the football. Haris feels he can do whatever is needed at wide receiver.

Andrew Olesh – 4-Star TE

The 6-foot-5, 216-pounder is one of the top receiving tight ends in the country with his ability to be a deceptive route runner and create separation throughout the progression of a route. Olesh feels his route running and his ability to catch are the strengths of his game at the moment.

Jordon Davison – 4-Star RB

Davison currently stands at 6-foot and weighs 205 pounds while reporting a 4.46 forty-yard dash time. He runs the football with great patience, balance and an explosive burst. The Mater Dei product is also productive at catching the football out of the backfield.

Todd Robinson – 4-Star ATH

The surging prospect is the starting quarterback for Valdosta, and he is an explosive runner as a signal caller. He is a threat to score every time he touches the football. Alabama is interested in bringing him in to line up at defensive back. The athleticism and speed he displays give him the potential to be effective at a variety of positions at the next level.

Chuck McDonald III – 4-Star DB

At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, McDonald fits the bill for what Alabama looks for in long defensive backs. He breaks on the ball with good closing speed and can make tackles close to the line of scrimmage with his anticipation skills. The new Alabama target wants to improve in those areas and perfect his coverage technique.

Jadon Perlotte – 4-Star LB (Georgia Commit)

At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, the 2025 recruit has flashed the ability to be a punishing tackler for Buford. He eats up yards in space as he flows to the football.

Zymear Smith – 4-Star WR (Alabama Commit)

At 6-foot and 170 pounds, Smith reportedly can run a 4.44 forty-yard dash. He is an explosive playmaker, who can create excitement no matter where he gets the football. He is absolutely dangerous when the football in his hands as he can change direction On a dime and quickly accelerate into another gear. Similar to Smith, he could play on either side of the football. As a safety, he attacks the football with great closing speed.

Lotzeir Brooks – 4-Star WR (Alabama Commit)

Brooks is a speedster at wide receiver, and it makes him extremely dangerous. He has the type of speed that gives defensive coordinators nightmares as he is a threat to leave defenders grasping for air every time he touches the football.

Jamarion Morrow – 4-Star ATH

At 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, Morrow can put on a show with the football in his hands with his speed and elusiveness. He can contribute in a variety of ways, which is why he is going to be considered an athlete. Alabama’s staff likes his ability to change direction without losing speed.

Charles House – 3 -Star DL

House stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs more than 300 pounds. He has the length and mass college football loves to go after on the interior of the defensive line. He has the ability to get off of blocks and get after the football to blow up plays in the backfield.
