After looking at the quarterbacks that could challenge Alabama’s defense, we now dive into which secondary in the Southeastern Conference could give Jalen Milroe the most issues?
Georgia, LSU, and Missouri have to face Alabama in the fall. Georgia lost key names such as Javon Bullard and Tykee Smith to the National Football League. Malaki Starks, Joenel Aguero, Daylen Everette, Nyland Green, and Julian Humphrey return to the Bulldogs defensive backfield. Starks led Georgia last season with seven pass breakups and three interceptions.

He watched the Bulldogs fall short in 2023 to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game.
Starks refuses to let that happen again as he and his teammates are ready for Milroe in the fall.
LSU got burned last year by Milroe’s athleticism as a runner. It has Sage Ryan, Zy Alexander, and a couple of other playmakers in the backfield. LSU got the better of former Tide quarterback, Bryce Young at Tiger Stadium, but it knows Milroe is a different kind of quarterback. LSU will try to have something up tp offset Milroe. Missouri has an interesting set up for its secondary.
Kris Abrams-Draine had a team-high four interceptions for Missouri in 2023. He assisted the secondary to an 11-win season last year, which culminated in Cotton Bowl win over Ohio State. Abrams-Draine also had a team-best 13 pass breakups. Daylen Carnal just filled up on those stat sheets with seven pass breakups, eight quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, and an intercepti0n.
All three schools have guys in the secondary that want to victimize Milroe.
It will be interesting to see which program has the back end that gives him issues.
