The narrative that is happening this offseason in college football is Nick Saban’s retirement means Alabama is not going to be successful.
People have tied the Crimson Tide’s dominance completely to Saban. He accomplished incredible feats in 17 years — including six national championships, nine Southeastern Conference Championships, four Heisman Memorial Trophy winners, and eight College Football Playoff appearances — however, he left the program in great hands to Kalen DeBoer who is a winner himself.

DeBoer, who became Alabama’s next head coach on Jan. 12, maintained the Tide’s core nucleus of players. Names such as Jalen Milroe, Ty Simpson, Dylan Lonergan, Justice Haynes, Jam Miller, Richard Young, Kobe Prentice, Kendrick Law, Tyler Booker, Jaeden Roberts, CJ Dippre, Deontae Lawson, Jihaad Campbell, Malachi Moore, and DeVonta Smith could have left the Tide.
They chose to remain because they believe in DeBoer’s vision for the team. According to a graphic from Pro Football Focus, Alabama has the most five stars of any school in the nation on its current roster. DeBoer has 15 five stars, and many of them are offensive players. He should propel the Crimson Tide to a conference championship and a national title in the coming fall.
