Alabama football has a few number changes in media video shoot

Alabama football fans had to get familiar with its team in spring practice because of the changes, but more have come.

The Crimson Tide had a media video shoot Thursday and a few players have new numbers.

Kendrick Law, a wide receiver, is now No. 1.

He wore No. 83 to open the spring of his freshman season, but he switched to 19 in the fall for his first two years. The Louisiana native is now in a single digit for his third season with the Crimson Tide. Emmanuel Henderson Jr., a receiver, is wearing No. 3.

He was No. 24 for Alabama in 2022 and 2023, but now the former four-star has a single digit.

James Smith, a defensive lineman, has switched from No. 47 to No. 23. He came to the Tide as a marquee five-star in the 2023 signing class from Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala. Smith is poised for a huge season up front for Alabama.
