Desmond Green earned an Alabama offer Monday after performing well at camp in front of Crimson Tide coaches.
Green is a rising junior at Timberland High School in South Carolina, and he garners a three-star rating from most recruiting sites. His offer total now sits at 14 after earning his latest offer from the Tide.
Alabama’s offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic met with Green after camp and expressed interest in getting to know more about the 2026 prospect. Kalen DeBoer caught up with Green afterward.
“He gave us a little bit of his background before Alabama, and said that he loved what I did and have a scholarship offer from the University of Alabama,” Green said. “I was happy of course.”
Green is interested in seeing what Alabama will look like in year one under DeBoer.
“Alabama is still Alabama,” said Green. “I know they have a great history and great academics. I am excited to see how this upcoming season goes for DeBoer and Kapilovic.”
At 6-foot-5 and more than 300 pounds, the South Carolina product tends to drive defensive linemen out of plays. He feels his run-blocking skill is one of his biggest strengths at the moment.
