Mal Waldrep has announced a verbal commitment to Alabama football.
Waldrep is a product of Central Phenix City High School in Phenix City, Alabama. He currently garners a three-star rating from multiple recruiting sites.
The in-state recruit chose Alabama over Clemson, Florida and Tennessee. Alabama sealed the deal during an official visit over the weekend.
At 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, Waldrep lines up at left tackle for the Red Devils. He has displayed impressive agility and the ability to finish blocks with his strength. The 2025 recruit feels he can play anywhere along the offensive line.
