If all of Alabama nation did not have a reason to like Kalen DeBoer, one has been presented.
A deeper meaning comes to the Crimson Tide with DeBoer being able to keep the program’s core nucleus of players, maintain most of its 2024 freshmen class, pull in quality transfers from the NCAA transfer portal, and recruit well for future classes since Nick Saban announced his retirement. DeBoer, 49, has a special vibe about him and the players are all in on him winning here.

Names such as Tyler Booker and Jalen Milroe have discussed the family energy DeBoer brings, but it’s deeper than that. LT Overton, a transfer defensive lineman from Texas A&M, had an interview with Roger Hoover of Crimson Tide Sports Network.
Overton shined light on the social media savvy his new coach possesses.
“I’ve never had a head coach on Snapchat. I have@KalenDeBoer on Snapchat. That’s how connected he is with his team.”

“When they [Alabama] brought in DeBoer, I could just tell. … I love his vibe,” Overton said.
“He brings in a younger generational vibe, but he makes sure that it is not just one-sided. He is around everybody from walk-ons to O-Line and D-Line, it is not just offense. It is valid, and it’s something I can deal with.”
Overton has DeBoer’s phone number, but the other thing he has is even cooler.
“I have never had a coach on Snapchat,” Overton said.
“I have DeBoer on Snapchat. It is crazy, but that is how connected he is with his team.”
DeBoer is doing things his way, and it is working out well so far in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
