Chuck McDonald III announced a verbal commitment to Alabama over the weekend, and it looked to have been a full-circle moment for his family.
Alabama has been recruiting McDonald for more than a year. He visited the Crimson Tide last summer and was accompanied by his mom and dad. His mom shared a picture from the visit to social media with the caption, “Sweet Home Alabama?? Sure feels like it.”
McDonald II shared the post a year later Wednesday in honor of his late wife and his son’s decision to commit to Alabama.
“On this day last year You always knew babe. You called it a year ago. It felt like home then, and still felt like home now. We miss you,” McDonald II posted to X.
