South Carolina 4-Star WR Donovan Murph recaps latest Alabama visit

Donovan Murph made it back to Tuscaloosa to visit Alabama over the weekend and got to check in with Tide’s coaching staff.

Murph is a product of Irmo High School in Columbia, South Carolina, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites at the moment. He holds more than 20 college football offers, including offers from Alabama, Clemson, Ole Miss, Oregon and others.

The rising junior said it was ‘great getting to catch up’ with Alabama wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard and the rest of the Tide staff during his visit. He also caught up with Alabama freshman wide receiver, Ryan Williams.

“He’s a great person to be around and always has positive energy,” Murph said when discussing Williams.

The four-star also got to talk with former Washington and current Falcons quarterback Michael Penix during his visit.

“It was great because he had been apart of that DeBoer system and is also a first round draft pick,” said Murph.

Alabama offered Murph in March when he visited. His offer came from Shephard.

At 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Murph is a bigger wide receiver, who can get open with his ability to change tempo and make cuts when running routes. He also can rise up and go get the football.
