Alabama football is expected to remain hot on the recruiting front with recruits eyeing decisions to commit before their senior seasons begin.
Here is a group of names to monitor at the moment:
Dawson Merritt – 4-Star LB
Alabama continues to trend upwards with Merritt with a possible commitment decision on the horizon.
Merritt is down to Alabama and Nebraska. He has wrapped up official visits to both programs, and all signs point to him officially coming off the board soon. The Tide hosted Merritt over the weekend with hopes of locking him in after making him a priority since the moment they offered them a couple of months ago.
Merritt is 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds with very long arms. He is a versatile linebacker, who makes plays from the edge and off the ball. He excels in space and playing sideline to sideline as an athletic prospect. His style of play works well at linebacker in today’s game with how most teams like to sling the ball around.
Micah DeBose – 4-Star OL
DeBose is a 2025 four-star offensive lineman out of Vigor High School in Alabama. The Tide’s new staff has made him a priority from the moment they have taken over in Tuscaloosa.
“The message I got from them is that Alabama is still going to be Alabama,” DeBose told Touchdown Alabama. “Alabama is still going to be the same from how they coming in, from how they speaking and from how they doing things. I feel like Alabama will be good.”
Alabama will host DeBose for an official this month along with several other programs. Alabama is believed to be the leader for DeBose.
At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Debose is already considered one of the nation’s top 2025 offensive tackles. He paves the way for Vigor’s running attack as he destroys defenders while run blocking in space as he has shown an ability to get to the second level.
London Simmons – 3-Star DL
Simmons is officially visiting Alabama this weekend, and he is interested in announcing a possible commitment decision this summer.
He has taken an official visit to North Carolina State and plans to officially visit Arkansas next weekend. Alabama looks to be working themselves into a better position for the three-star after hosting him earlier this month.
The 6-foot-3 prospect may not have the star rating other highly sought-after prospects have next to their name, but his film speaks for itself. He explodes out of his stance upon the snap of the football and causes disruption in the backfield. He also moves efficiently in space for a player his size. The Mississippi product wrapped up his junior campaign with 80 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 15 sacks. He lived in opponents’ backfield with his ability to disrupt plays early in their progression.

Alex Asparuhov – 2025 Punter
Asparuhov is a new Alabama punter target, who earned an offer from the Tide on Sunday and has already locked in an official visit with Alabama.
He also holds offers from Florida and Oklahoma.
The California punter appears to have the abiity to flip the field by consistently punting for more than 50 yards.
