An Alabama football super fan found himself Thursday in the best situation.
Roll Tide Willie has gone from social media star to meeting Nick Saban for the first time.

Saban was at a charity event and Willie joined him to say “don’t give nothing but the Tide.” He did not deliver his entire slogan, yet Saban understood what he meant. The 72-year-old spoke to media pundits and attendees at the event about how people will not always remember what you did, but they will remember how you made them feel.
Saban also took a moment to acknowledge how Willie made him and the Crimson Tide’s program feel. The seven-time national champion said he appreciates Willie more than he knows.

“This guy has made me feel good for years,” Saban said about Willie.
Roll Tide Willie accomplished a goal in getting a compliment from Saban.
He was involved at Alabama’s spring practice, helped the Tide get five-star Ryan Williams to recommit and sign to Alabama, and continues to use his platform to assist the Crimson Tide in recruiting.
