Vickerson attends Cy Ranch High School in Houston, Texas. He holds more than 10 college football offers with offers from Missouri, Texas and others.
Vickerson’s offer came from the Crimson Tide’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach.
“After the camp, my father and I went up to Coach Roach’s office, and we had an amazing conversation,” Vickerson told Touchdown Alabama. “He told me to keep up the good work and I was going to be special, and he gave me an offer.”
The Texas product was excited when he was informed of the offer.
“I felt very good and very grateful to receive the offer because Alabama is one of my dream schools since I was young,” Vickerson said. “My family is big Bama fans and their love washed down towards me.”
At 6-foot-3 and 265 pounds as a rising sophomore, Vickerson feels his strengths are his ‘speed quickness, his violent hands and his ability to create space in the interior.’
There is still a long way to go in Vickerson’s recruitment, but Alabama is a team of note in its very early stages.
