Larry Moon earned an offer from Alabama football’s head coach Kalen DeBoer on Saturday.
Moon is a rising sophomore at Aliquippa High School in Pennsylvania, and he is a member of the 2027 recruiting class. His early offer list included offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and others.
Kalen Deboer offered Moon in his office after camp.
“I was really excited and grateful for the opportunity because Alabama is a really big school in college football,” Moon said.
The rising sophomore is looking forward to getting to know DeBoer more after a good conversation with the Alabama head coach.
“I can tell he is a great person, and I can’t wait to build the relationship stronger,” said Moon.
It is hard to find a 2027 recruit with better technique in coverage than Moon. At 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, Moon is projected to be a long and athletic prospect in the future. He is efficient at a variety of different coverage assignments and displays great reaction skills in coverage when he closes on the football and against the run when he has to come downhill to make a tackle.
“I’m fast and my feet are really good,” Moon told Touchdown Alabama. “I’m also really physical and my technique and IQ stand out.”
