Alabama 4-Star QB commit set to compete in Elite 11 Finals

Keelon Russell is participating the Elite 11 Finals this week in Los Angeles, California.

Russell is one of 20 rising senior quarterbacks selected to participate in this year’s.

The Elite 11 brings together top performers to receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction in a highly competitive setting. The event is typically three days and includes on-field drills, routes-on-air, classroom instruction and off-field development. Those who compete in the finals will have an opportunity to be named as one of the Elite 11.

Russell’s quarterback trainer, Brad Stanfield feels he is built to thrive in the Elite 11 environment.

“When you look at him, meet him and then you see his skill set, you’re just thinking if this kid is everything that I’m seeing in front of my face, this kid’s got a chance to be really freaking good,” Stanfield said. “When it comes to skillset, I put this kid through a bunch of NFL stuff, and he picked it up pretty much that day. It was pretty impressive, and so to watch him be able to do and then not overthink but do what you ask him right away is super impressive. There is nothing I don’t think the kid can’t do.”

This year’s event kicks off on Tuesday evening.

Multiple former Alabama quarterbacks have participated in the event in the past and been named to the Elite 11, including Bryce Young and Tua Tagovailoa.
