He turned in some impressive moments last year, but all eyes are on Jalen Milroe to take it to another level.
The University of Alabama has its starting quarterback, and he has significant goals for himself.

Milroe eyes an opportunity to become a first-team All-SEC, first-team All-American, Heisman Trophy winner, and collect numerous individual awards at his position. He understands the importance of this season to win a College Football Playoff National Championship at Alabama and produce a high-end draft status. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder returns as one of the best signal-callers in the Southeastern Conference and arguably in the nation. Jim Nagy, the senior executive director for the Reese’s Senior Bowl, saw Milroe’s potential two years ago in 2022 in the Crimson Tide’s road matchup versus Mississippi State.
Bryce Young was out with an injury, so Milroe started the contest.
Nagy saw the electric speed of the native Texan on a long touchdown run. NFL scouts told Nagy that Jahmyr Gibbs, a former Alabama running back, was the second-fastest player on the team that season. Milroe was the fastest player and it speaks volumes, especially after watching Gibbs run the 40-yard dash at 4.36 seconds at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine.

Me: How fast does the staff say Jahmyr Gibbs is?
NFL Scout: They said he’s the second-fastest kid on the team on GPS data.
Me: Who’d they say is faster than Gibbs?!
NFL Scout: 𝙅𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙣 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙧𝙤𝙚. 🤯

He went on to be a first-round pick by the Detroit Lions and is having success. Milroe’s dual threat abilities could open a massive Heisman campaign for him in the fall. He totaled 2,834 passing yards and 35 touchdowns in 2023, but he’s destined for more.
After seeing what Kalen DeBoer did for Michael Penix Jr., Nagy and Alabama fans are excited to see what Milroe does for Crimson Tide football under this coaching staff.
