Jordan Thomas picked up an offer from Alabama in May and is excited to get to Tuscaloosa this month for the Crimson Tide’s BBQ event.
Thomas attends Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites. He holds offers from some of the nation’s top college football programs with Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, Penn State and Notre Dame being a ‘few’ of the schools standing out to Thomas.
Multiple members of Alabama football’s staff are in contact with Thomas as their relationship gets rolling.
“The relationship just started,” Thomas told Touchdown Alabama. “I’m connected with Eron Hodges (Alabama Associate Director of Player Personel). I’m also connected with coach (Colin) Hitschler It’s just been a great relationship developing in the process of this recruitment journey and just developing as it goes on.”
The Crimson Tide have definitely earned the respect of Thomas with the success they have enjoyed for more than a decade in Tuscaloosa.
“It’s Bama,” Thomas said. “It’s legacy. It’s just greatness all around, 18 National Championships, 30 SEC championships. It is just greatness all around. It’s a place you want to be to compete.”
The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder, possesses the trait of a shutdown corner with his ability to thrive in man coverage and zone coverage combined with his length and ball skills. He also breaks on the football and works downhill with good closing speed.
