Jordon Gidron earned an Alabama offer in March and returned for a visit last month.
Gidron is a product of Ridge View High School in Columbia, South Carolina. He garners a four-star rating from most recruiting sites and is currently the consensus No. 1 player in South Carolina in the 2026 class. He holds 27 college football offers, including offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU and others.
The four-star is continuing to build his relationship with the Crimson Tide’s wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shepherd.
“I like it a lot,” Gidron told Touchdown Alabama when asked about his interest in Alabama. “I like coach Shepherd the most. He obviously was at Washington last year and sent three receivers in the NFL draft. The development and success that they have at the receiver position is probably what I like the most about it.”
Kalen DeBoer met Gidron on his March visit to Tuscaloosa.
“He seemed like he is really focused on practice and just making sure everybody’s doing what they are supposed to do,” Gidron said. “He is intent with how he runs things. So I definitely like how he’s running it out there.”
South Carolina, Alabama, Florida State, North Carolina State and LSU are just some of the schools showing the South Carolina product love at the moment.
Auburn will get him on campus on the 27th of this month. Gidron likes what he is seeing from the Tigers.
“I like coach (Marcus) Davis a lot,” said Gidron. “He’s like a genuine person. He called my parents. I talked to him. I like what they’re doing. They have a good freshman class. I like what they’re doing at the receiver position, and I am going to keep my eyes on them.”
At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Gidron is absolutely dangerous with the football in his hands with his ability to accelerate and hit another gear in open space. He is a strong runner after the catch as he is not letting arm tackles get him down. This combined with the ability to change directions on a dime makes him an exciting player to watch.
