Alabama football July recruiting outlook

Alabama football had a big month on the recruiting trail in June by picking up 10 verbal commitments from 2025 prospects.

July has an opportunity to match up with the momentum the Crimson Tide built last month which is a crazy thought, considering Alabama snagged its rising quarterback pledge, Keelon Russell, five-star defensive back, Dijon Lee and three of the nation’s top offensive linemen.

There are currently a few recruits, who officially visited the Crimson Tide in June and have commitment dates locked in for July.

Those prospects are Kaleb Edwards, Justin Hill, Travis Smith Jr, Rylon Dillard-Allen, Damien Shanklin and Javeon Campbell.

Among those recruits, the Crimson Tide are considered to be in the best position with Kaleb Edward, a four-star tight end out of California. They remain in the race for Hill, Smith and Dillard-Allen.

The prospects Alabama may be in the best position to land this month do not have public commitment dates locked in. Caleb Cunningham, Akylin Dear and Ty Haywood are among this group.

Cunningham, a 2025 five-star wide receiver out of Mississippi, named Alabama his No. 1 school following an official visit in June. He has expressed he wants to announce a decision in July.

Dear backed off his commitment to Ole Miss last month, and the Crimson Tide appears to be in the lead for him at the moment. If he announces this month, Alabama is most likely going to be his choice.

Derek Meadows, a 2025 five-star wide receiver out of Nevada, is reportedly eyeing a commitment announcement this month. He has officially visited Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame and Michigan. The Tide is expected to be a player here.

Ty Haywood remains Alabama’s top offensive lineman target with his potential to make an impact as a freshman no matter which school he attends. Like many top Tide targets, especially those from Texas, Keelon Russell looks to be involved with helping Alabama pull in the five-star. He is another prospect to watch this month.
