He along with Kane Wommack, Nate Oats, and DeMeco Ryans took part in the event with Jim Nagy. Simone Eli, TV Sports Director and Host for WKRG TV in Mobile, caught up with Coach DeBoer for an interview. Eli covered Ryan Williams, a five-star wide receiver, during his time at Saraland (Ala.) High School. DeBoer is impressed by how quickly Williams has fit in to the team.
“The transformation and how quickly he’s fit in… he’s proven he’ll be a great player here”

“It has been so amazing to see the transformation on top of how quickly he’s fit in here,” DeBoer said about Williams.
“A lot of times the guys that come in with the expectations that everyone has for him, it gets hard, but that transition and him fitting in with the team … he’s just done his thing. He’s gone about his business and proven that he’ll be a great player here. I am excited about his growth, and he retains things so well. He processes and has made the transition very smooth.”
Williams was a two-time “Mr. Football” recipient in the state of Alabama and two-time Gatorade Player of the Year.
He delivered Saraland High School to a Class 6A State Championship in 2022 and nearly did it again last year.
Alabama fans are pumped up to watch him succeed in the fall.
