Keelon Russell is seeing his rating and ranking grow across multiple recruiting sites.
Russell is a 2025 quarterback prospect out of Duncanville High School in Texas, and he is currently committed to Alabama. He is now rated as a five-star recruit by two major recruiting services after earning the Elite 11 MVP Award on last month and is now en route to possibly being a consensus five-star recruit.
The last consensus five-star quarterback to sign and play with the Crimson Tide was Bryce Young, who won the Heisman trophy as a junior.
The praise for Russell has been almost nonstop over the last few weeks. Brad Stanfield, who has worked with Jalen Milore and several other Texas products at quarterback in the past, has very high praise for the Tide commit.
“I think he can be as good or better than any throwing quarterback Alabama has ever had,” Stanfield said.
