An Alabama quarterback has landed a significant opportunity for his name, image, and likeness.

Ty Simpson, a third-year player, has entered a multi-year NIL agreement with an automotive company. Harbin Motors, a new Ford and Chevrolet Dealership in Northwest Alabama, has partnered with Simpson. He announced the news via his Instagram Monday, as he will receive a new Ford or Chevrolet truck every several months in exchange for promoting Harbin.

Simpson, a former five-star in Alabama’s 2022 recruiting class, completed 11 of 20 passes in 2023 for 179 yards.

He also recorded a rushing touchdown, en route to helping the Crimson Tide defeat Georgia to secure a Southeastern Conference Championship and advance to the College Football Playoff. Simpson, a native of Martin, Tenn., had a very good spring and is the immediate backup to Jalen Milroe at quarterback. He desires to assist Kalen DeBoer to winning titles in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
