Eagles WR DeVonta Smith named to 2024 NFL Top 100

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, DeVonta Smith was ranked No. 90 on NFL’s Top 100 list for 2024 by his peers from around the league.

Smith jumped 10 spots on this year’s list as the NFL revealed players 100-81 thus far. Smith’s rise comes after a season where he posted his second consecutive 1,000-yard season, adding 81 catches and seven touchdowns.

The third-year receiver has a variety of nicknames given to him by his teammates and opponents across the league such as “Skinny Batman” , “Rubber Bandman” and “The Slim Reaper”. This is due to Smith’s ability as a vertical deep threat, toughness and willingness to make acrobatic catches in traffic at various angles.

Opposing cornerback and NFC East division rival, Daron Bland of the Dallas Cowboys complimented Smith’s ability Monday during the NFL Network’s reveal.

“He’s a smooth route runner, a quick guy and he goes up for the ball very well,” Bland said.

Eagles’ teammate defensive back Sydney Brown also chimed in on Smith’s  worth ethic and leadership.

“He works at it, just his leadership on and off the field, doing things the right way,” Brown said. “He’s tough, smart and dependable.”
