Former Alabama DB to start training camp on Cowboys PUP list

Trevon Diggs celebrates a play

All-Pro cornerback, Trevon Diggs is rounding back into form, eyeing his return after tearing his ACL in week three of last season.

The Dallas Cowboys open their 2024 training camp this week in Oxnard, California as Diggs is expected to start camp on the active/physically unable to perform list, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports. The Cowboys are anxiously awaiting Diggs’ return as he was regarded as one of the top defensive backs in the NFL before the season-ending injury due to his unique ball-hawking abilities.

The former Alabama wide receiver turned defensive back has worked on the side with his rehab group during the teams mandatory minicamp to complete their offseason program. Diggs has posted videos of his workouts since then.

Diggs is eligible to come off of the PUP list as he passes his physical as the Cowboys are expected to deliberate in his return to practice.
