USF head football coach Alex Golesh wants his team confident heading into matchups with Alabama and Miami this upcoming season.
Golesh and the Bulls put up an impressive effort against the Crimson Tide last season and were on the doorsteps of upsetting Alabama in Tampa, but the Crimson Tide held on for the 17-3 win.
The USF head coach feels the game against Alabama this season is an opportunity for his team to redeem themselves.
“Bama and Miami got to play South Florida,” Golesh said at the American Athletic Conference media day. “So, I think it’s absolutely imperative for us to play the best teams we possibly can. I think playing Miami at home is an absolutely huge deal for us. We did it for a long time in in the Big East days, and they’ve got to come play in Tampa. I think going to Alabama is absolutely huge for us. They came to our place. We had every opportunity to go be successful in that game, couldn’t finish it. Now, we get to go redeem ourselves.”
