He has been committed to doing things the right way since returning to the University of Alabama.
Kadyn Proctor, though overweight in 2023, made the Freshman All-SEC team in his first season.

The 6-foot-7 specimen assisted Alabama to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff berth at 360 pounds. He allowed 12 sacks last year at left tackle, but that will not be the case this fall. In earning the trust of coaches and teammates, the Iowa native took the offseason to drop weight and prove he can be one of the best tackles in college football.
According to a photo he shared on social media, one can tell Proctor has cut body fat. He looks a lot leaner, which will help him with his footwork, sustain punches against defensive linemen, and keep an established base to neutralizing defenders from getting to Jalen Milroe. The extra weight allowed for him to be knocked off his feet at times to where he could not sustain.
Proctor’s inability to move his feet consistent allowed speed rushers to get around him to sack Milroe.
Now, a leaner body gives him the footwork, core strength, striking techniques, and anchoring abilities to open the rushing attack and excel in pass protection for Alabama. Chris Kapilovic, the Crimson Tide’s offensive line coach, wants to build Proctor into an All-American. The work that the sophomore has put in should have fans very excited to see a decrease in sacks allowed in the fall.
He was confident as a freshman, but this slight body transformation gives him more confidence to be elite in the SEC.
Proctor will be able to sustain four quarters at his new weight.
