Jalen Milroe joined Get Up Thursday, and he shared the most important advice he received from Nick Saban.
Milroe played under Saban for three years at Alabama and was Saban’s last starting quarterback before he retired.
Saban and Milroe appear to have a special connection and respect for one another.
Get Up host, Mike Greenberg asked Milroe about the most important advice he received from Saban.
“There’s so many things I learned from coach Saban, and it’s hard to narrow down one,” Milroe said. “But if I were to choose one, I’ll say trust the process. Every process is different when it comes to just trusting your journey, and as a guy that came in from Texas and being acclimated to a new environment in Alabama and how you push every single day to accomplish any goal that you want to achieve, there’s adversity that comes along the process. There goes times of self doubt. There go times where you have to push through hard circumstances and throughout that time, never waver from that. It comes from a leader in coach Saban, pushing each and every day to be the best you, and that’s very important, just kind of go 1 and 0 each and every day and just trying to attack the day at hand, and it’s all about trusting the process.”
Saban will work at ESPN during the college football season while Milroe attempts to lead Alabama to more success.
