In an offseason where the top signal callers in the NFL have been rewarded, another one has cashed in.
The latest is former Alabama quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, who officially signed a 4-year, $212.4M contract extension with the Miami Dolphins on Friday afternoon which is the largest in NFL History.
Tagovailoa was selected with the No. 5 overall pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft. Since first starting in week 6 of his rookie season, the Hawaii native is 32-19 as the Dolphins’ starter and made the Pro Bowl last season after leading the league with 4,624 passing yards.
Tagovailoa was also the NFL’s passer rating leader in 2022. He improved upon his games won as starter, passing yards and touchdowns thrown in each NFL season.
