5-Star OL Jackson Cantwell has ‘fun’ return visit to Alabama

Jackson Cantwell returned to Tuscaloosa Sunday to visit with the Alabama Crimson Tide for their summer cookout.

Cantwell is a 2026 five-star offensive lineman out of Nixa High School in Missouri. He currently has Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and several others in his current top 14.

Alabama re-offered Cantwell in in March. He got to catch up with multiple members of the Tide’s staff during his latest visit to Tuscaloosa.

“I loved it,” Cantwell told Touchdown Alabama. “It was a really fun visit. I enjoyed getting to talk to coach Kapilovic (Alabama offensive line coach) and coach DeBoer too.”

Multiple Alabama commits were in attendance for the cookout including offensive lineman; Micah DeBose, Mal Waldrep and Ty Haywood. Cantwell got to spend some time with them as well.

“They seem like some good, hard-working dudes,” Cantwell said. “They are very driven and focused and have a plan for when they get to Alabama.”

A return visit this season is something Cantwell is interested in but currently does not have any plans locked in to return at the moment.

The massive 6-foot-7 offensive lineman is agile and explosive as a tackle.
