Alabama Long snapper named to Mannelly Award watchlist

Alabama long snapper, Kneeland Hibbett was named to the Mannelly Award watchlist for the second consecutive season Monday.

The Patrick Mannelly Award is presented annually to the best long snapper in College Football since it was first created in 2019.

Hibbett is an Alabama native, returning to Tuscaloosa for his senior season.

The Hoover product was already selected to the SEC All-American first-team earlier this offseason after he started in all 14 contests and even recorded a tackle against Michigan on punt coverage in the Rose Bowl during the college football playoffs on last season.

Hibbett now has the opportunity to join former Alabama long snapper, Thomas Fletcher, who won the award in 2020, as the 2nd specialist to bring the award to Tuscaloosa.
