Kalen DeBoer discussed what he is looking to see out of Ryan Williams in fall camp Wednesday while talking to media members.
Williams is a former five-star and many feel he has the potential to make big plays in his first season with the Crimson Tide. The Saraland, Alabama product went through his first fall camp practice Wednesday with the Crimson Tide.
DeBoer is looking to see Williams focus on his fundamentals and stacking days during his first fall camp.

“Consistently just in this trajectory on up,” DeBoer said. “I don’t need him day one, I mean, you want every play to be amazing explosive, but you just want him lining up right, doing the fundamental things, making the easy plays, and then because of his ability, the big ones will come. So, when your on air, run a good route, catch the ball, accelerate out with good ball security. You find those consistent fundamentals, you stack days. Those plays we know he is capable of making will happen.”
Williams is a two-time Alabama Mr. Football Award winner. He finished his high school career with 71 total touchdowns and 3,254 receiving yards despite re-classifying and not playing his senior season.
Alabama is hopeful Williams can build upon his high school career and do great things in Tuscaloosa.
