Alabama new in-state wide receiver target wants to visit ‘very often’

Erick Smith reported an offer from Alabama football Wednesday.

Smith attends Southside High School in Selma, Alabama. The 2025 recruit is currently not ranked by any major recruiting site at the moment, but he does hold offers from Appalachian State, Alabama State, Alabama A&M and North Alabama. The in-state recruit is grateful to pick up his first power four offer from the Crimson Tide.

“It is a blessing, especially for where I come from,” Smith told Touchdown Alabama.

Smith’s brother is former Alabama and current Auburn commit, Derick Smith

Alabama is headed in a different direction under Kalen DeBoer, and Smith is a fan of what he is seeing from the Tide’s new staff.

“I support what they are building as a team,” said Smith.

Smith is looking forward to getting to Tuscaloosa on multiple occasions in the future.

“I plan on visiting very often,” Smith said.

At 6-foot-6 and 190 pounds, the Selma product is a long and lanky wide receiver, who has impressive size. He flashes an impressive burst.
